By accessing or using the StoryForge mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

Description of Service

StoryForge is an AI-powered interactive storytelling application that generates personalized stories based on user choices. The App uses artificial intelligence to create unique narrative experiences where users can influence the direction and outcome of stories.

AI-Generated Content

Nature of Content

All stories in StoryForge are generated by artificial intelligence. While we strive to provide high-quality, engaging, and appropriate content, the AI-generated nature means:

  • Content may occasionally be unpredictable or unexpected
  • Stories are created in real-time based on user choices and may vary in quality
  • We cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of all generated content

Content Moderation

We implement safety filters and content moderation to ensure stories remain appropriate for our users. However, AI-generated content may occasionally produce unexpected results. If you encounter inappropriate content, please report it to us immediately at support@storyforgeai.app.

User Accounts

To use StoryForge, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information when creating your account
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
  • Be responsible for all activities that occur under your account

User Responsibilities

When using StoryForge, you agree to:

  • Use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms
  • Not attempt to manipulate, exploit, or abuse the AI system
  • Not use the App to generate content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
  • Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the App
  • Not use automated systems or bots to access the App
  • Not attempt to circumvent any security features or access restrictions

Intellectual Property

Our Rights

The StoryForge App, including its design, features, functionality, and underlying technology, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App.

Your Content

You retain ownership of any choices, preferences, or input you provide to the App. However, by using the App, you grant us a license to use your input to generate and display stories for you.

Generated Stories

Stories generated by StoryForge are created uniquely for you based on your choices. While you may save and enjoy these stories for personal use, we retain rights to the AI models and generation systems. Generated stories should not be redistributed commercially without permission.

Subscriptions and Payments

StoryForge may offer subscription plans or in-app purchases. By subscribing, you agree to:

  • Pay all applicable fees as described in the App
  • Automatic renewal unless cancelled before the renewal date
  • Our refund policy as described in the App Store or Google Play Store

Subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Please refer to their terms for billing and cancellation policies.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

  • The App will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
  • All AI-generated content will be accurate, appropriate, or suitable for your purposes
  • Any defects or errors will be corrected
  • The App will meet your specific requirements

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Loss of data or story progress
  • Disappointment or dissatisfaction with generated content
  • Technical issues or service interruptions
  • Any unauthorized access to your account

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
  • Extended periods of inactivity

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature in the App.

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated Terms in the App and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitute acceptance of the modified Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved in accordance with the dispute resolution procedures specified in the App Store or Google Play Store terms, as applicable.

Severability
